We were delighted to attend the HomeViews Resident Choice Awards 2026, held at The Vox in Birmingham on 12 February. Bringing together professionals from across the BTR and residential sector, the event celebrated the communities, teams and experiences that truly resonate with residents.

A highlight of the day was the series of panel discussions exploring key industry topics. One discussion in particular, chaired by our own Founder, Alistair Dickson, focused on a question many in the sector are grappling with: how do you design amenity spaces that appeal to today’s renters without quickly becoming outdated?

With younger audiences increasingly influenced by visual appeal and digital presence, the conversation explored the balance between creating immediate impact and ensuring long-term value. Our Creative Director, Lauren Maylor,  shared the importance of designing interiors that not only photograph well and engage online, but also remain relevant and functional for years to come.
