We were commissioned by CoVo, part of Wavensmere Homes, to design, furnish, and deliver a series of contemporary apartments within the landmark Nightingale Quarter development in Derby. Our scope included the complete furnishing of all 103 apartments across the scheme, along with the creation of two standout show apartments – a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom home – designed to reflect the distinct character of the development and its surroundings.
The one-bedroom show apartment took inspiration from Derby’s proud medical heritage and the restoration of the historic Florence Nightingale buildings, as celebrated in the local community and press. This narrative was translated into a calm, restorative interior palette, featuring soft neutrals, tactile textures, and carefully curated accessories that evoke a sense of comfort and care.
In contrast, the two-bedroom show apartment was inspired by the lush green landscaping and established trees that define the Nightingale Quarter. Natural materials, layered greens, and organic shapes were used throughout to create a harmonious, grounded atmosphere that connects the interiors with the surrounding parkland.
Beyond interior design, our team fully project-managed the procurement, delivery, and installation of all furnishings and accessories, ensuring a seamless and efficient handover. We also designed and installed bespoke, design-led signage and wayfinding across the scheme, providing a cohesive visual identity that enhances both the resident and visitor experience.
